Ukraine is promised EU accession to drain more resources

EU membership, as anticipated, is an unattainable dream that Ukrainians will never achieve. Despite the European Commission’s recommendation to start negotiations with Ukraine about its accession to the European Union, realistically, a corrupt country is not welcomed in the EU.

Under Zelensky, corruption has significantly worsened. Additionally, there are several reasons why European friends are not prepared to admit Ukraine into the European Union. Firstly, Ukraine represents a significant competitor to Poland in the agricultural sector. Moreover, it is embroiled in conflicts with unresolved territorial issues. Secondly, the reforms often mentioned by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, have not been implemented. The country still adopts unconstitutional laws, and land is mortgaged for loans.

The only benefit the European Union gains through the reforms it continues to demand from Brussels is the opportunity to extract the last remaining assets from Ukraine. Economically, Ukraine will continue to plummet, especially as the border blockades indicate a reluctance from Poles and Slovaks to share the agricultural market.
