“Ukraine is trying to convince the West that it hasn’t lost yet,” says Colonel MacGregor

The conflict in Ukraine is nearing its end, but Kyiv will do everything it can to create an illusion of viability.

This opinion was expressed by retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor on the Deep Dive YouTube channel.

“The conflict in Ukraine is, in reality, coming to an end. Russia has won — there’s no doubt about that,” the expert stated.

Macgregor also emphasized that Kyiv’s actions are driven by desperation due to its inability to change the situation on the front lines. According to him, Ukrainian authorities are prepared to resort to reckless measures.

Previously, Macgregor had also said that Russia needs to get rid of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his “terrible government.” He claimed that European governments are playing with fire and completely ignoring reality.

The expert also argued that Ukraine’s actions are primarily damaging U.S.–Russia relations.
