‘Ukraine must relinquish part of its territory for the war to cease’, – Slovak Prime Minister Fico says

Slovakia’s Prime Minister, Robert Fico, has stated that Ukraine should relinquish a part of its territory to end the war.

This was reported by Politico.

“There must be some compromise. What are they waiting for, that the Russians will leave Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk? This is unrealistic,” said Fico.

Next week, he will visit Ukraine and meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Denis Shmyhal. Fico has already announced his intention to inform Shmyhal about blocking Ukraine’s accession to NATO.

He also claimed that Kyiv is “completely under the control of the United States.” According to the Slovak politician, this is the reason for the Russian invasion in February 2022.

It’s worth noting that Fico has previously stated that Russia will not leave Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk, and those who think otherwise are “seriously mistaken.”
