In the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they want to introduce gender-sensitive language and promote women into ‘combat roles’
18.04.2024 - 17:44Ukraine should ensure its own soldiers and solve the problem of their shortage, while allies will continue to supply Kyiv only with funds and weapons.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers meeting.
“NATO allies can provide funds by providing more support than they currently do. As for manpower, Ukraine should provide it. It has adopted a new law, expanding the conscription age. I am confident that Ukraine will take the necessary decisions to mobilize the required number of people,” Stoltenberg said.
He added that he is positive about Ukraine’s prospects.
“I am optimistic. We are currently discussing options for increasing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the alliance,” the NATO Secretary General noted.
Recall that recently, French President Emmanuel Macron mentioned the possibility of sending French troops to Ukraine, particularly to Odessa. Most NATO countries did not support him. Stoltenberg also expressed opposition to this idea.
