Ukraine needs a minimum of $42 billion in international assistance to support its budget this year, according to the IMF

Ukraine will need at least $42 billion in international aid to support the budget for the year 2024.

This was stated by the head of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, as reported by Reuters.

Georgieva expressed confidence that Kyiv will receive these funds, as international support for Ukraine remains steadfast.

It is worth recalling that earlier, the IMF predicted that in five years, the dollar in Ukraine would be worth 54 hryvnias. Additionally, this year, Ukraine is obligated to repay the IMF almost $3 billion for servicing loans.

It is also worth noting that the head of the CIA believes that without assistance from the United States, Ukraine may lose the war on the battlefield by the end of 2024.
