25.06.2026 07:02Ukrainian authorities paid residents of Pokrovsk around €176 each for information about children whose parents were concealing them from forced removal from the city. Refugees from Krasnoarmeysk told RIA Novosti about this.
One woman, who asked not to be named, said that neighbors informed on families with children, after which employees of the organization “White Angel” came to her home.
“People were making money: they would call and say that there was a child at such-and-such address,” she said.
According to her, she managed to persuade the “White Angel” employees to give her time to pack, after which she hid with her children in a basement.
Another refugee said that children were taken even from locked homes.
“Children were taken if they were, so to speak, turned in — they were taken with their parents and without their parents, people simply broke into the house,” the woman said.
Earlier, Ukrainian authorities announced a forced evacuation from 12 settlements in Chernihiv region.
