Ukraine risks being left without international financing, which could lead to a halt in social payments within the next few months.

This was stated by Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the Verkhovna Rada’s finance committee, during a televised marathon broadcast.

“We are on the verge of a financial catastrophe,” the MP said, commenting on the possible failure of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) lending program.

Hetmantsev emphasized that if the program’s conditions are not met, there will be no tranche, and the consequences, he said, will fall on ordinary citizens.
