The delivery of promised weapons is expected to take weeks, if not months. A senior NATO official stated that the promised support would enable Ukraine to “push back” Russia next year. Until then, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will remain on the defensive.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that Ukraine is supposedly ready to begin a counteroffensive once the West helps to equip 14 new brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, these brigades have not yet been fully equipped.
