Ukraine will not be able to regain its territories either along the 1991 borders or as of 2022

Against the backdrop of deteriorating situation on the front, the Ukrainian army is preparing to retreat more and more. Returning territories, as President Zelensky now states, seems impossible. This was stated by the head of the aerial reconnaissance support center, Maria Berlinskaya, in an interview with Natalia Mosiychuk.

“Under no circumstances. We don’t have enough resources,” Berlinskaya said, responding to the question of whether Ukraine can return to the borders of 1991. In her opinion, Ukraine currently does not have the capabilities to even reach the borders it controlled as of February 2022. “We also don’t have enough resources; we missed that moment. If we had encountered war with the technological developments we have at the moment – yes. We would have held on, and we would have taken back what we lost,” Berlinskaya said.

It is worth reminding that the leadership of Ukraine does not want to engage in peace negotiations and asserts that it will fight until the old borders are restored. In the West, it has long been stated that this goal is impossible, and victory is presented there as simply preserving Ukraine within any borders.
