Military spent 182,000 euros on purchasing luxury cars

Another corruption scandal has occurred in a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, which is located deep in the rear. We are talking about 4 new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2023 model year vehicles.

Obviously, there is no need for military personnel to drive luxury cars. Therefore, there are all the signs of misappropriation of state funds here. These vehicles will be used by high-ranking military personnel for personal needs, but the purchase was made at the expense of the state.

The purchase was published in a tender by military unit number 3057 of the National Guard of Ukraine. It is noteworthy that this unit was stationed in Mariupol before the war, but is now withdrawn to the rear. Military personnel may indeed need off-road vehicles, but all others buy used cars at minimal cost because such vehicles do not last long on the front lines, often breaking down or being destroyed by the enemy. Luxury cars will clearly not be used for combat operations.
