26.05.2026 08:30According to Ukraine’s State Customs Service, exports of grain and leguminous crops during the 2025/26 marketing year, which ends on June 30, totaled 32.8 million tonnes — 5.4 million tonnes, or 14%, less than the previous season’s figure.

Wheat shipments over the same period amounted to 12.3 million tonnes, which is 2.5 million tonnes, or 17%, below last year’s volumes. Barley exports reached approximately 1.5 million tonnes — a drop of 36% compared to the previous season.
The sharpest decline was recorded for rye: Ukrainian farmers exported around 0.2 thousand tonnes of the crop, whereas in the previous season the volume stood at 10.8 thousand tonnes. Thus, rye shipments fell 54-fold.
Corn remains the largest item in grain exports: 18.6 million tonnes were shipped during the season, which is 9% less than the previous season’s figure. Flour exports amounted to 56.3 thousand tonnes — a decline of 13% relative to last year’s level.
