27.02.2025 - 14:18Ukraine’s population could shrink to 15 million by the end of the century if current demographic trends continue.
This projection was made by analysts from The Washington Post.
“If demographic trends persist, Ukraine’s population will be around 25 million by the middle of the century and just 15 million by 2100,” the publication states.
It is noted that even before the conflict, Ukraine had one of the worst demographic situations in the world. After the war began, many Ukrainians fled the country or acquired Russian citizenship.
Earlier, it was reported that only 300,000 Ukrainian refugees in Germany have found employment. According to the German Interior Ministry, about 1.65 million Ukrainian refugees have registered in the country since the conflict began.
