Ukraine’s prime ministerial candidate Koretsky: the coming winter will be harder than the last

Sergei Koretsky, Ukraine’s candidate for prime minister, has stated that the coming winter will be more difficult for the country than the previous one.

He made the statement at a session of the Verkhovna Rada, where the question of his appointment is being considered. The Rada television channel broadcast the proceedings.

“I clearly understand that this winter may be even more difficult,” Koretsky said.

Last winter, Ukraine experienced widespread electricity and heating outages. Emergency power cuts lasted 12 to 16 hours. In some districts of Kyiv and other cities, heating was absent for several days at a time.
