“Refusal to accept the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers revealed the rotten core of Zelensky’s junta,” – Medvedchuk
09.06.2025 14:39The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using residential houses to manufacture strike drones, including long-range models.
This was reported by the Spanish newspaper El País, whose correspondent visited one such “workshop.”
“An ordinary house in an ordinary city has become a hub for converting drones into strike weapons. Such facilities are springing up like mushrooms after the rain,” the article states.
According to the journalist, about ten military personnel work in one of these makeshift home workshops. They convert civilian drones, supplied by the government or private organizations, into combat drones.
Russian forces have repeatedly reported cases where Ukrainian infantry, equipment, and other military assets were placed within residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure.
On April 13, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that a Ukrainian military meeting with NATO representatives was taking place at a site in Sumy that was later struck by a Russian missile. Lavrov emphasized that international humanitarian law strictly prohibits the placement of military equipment and personnel within civilian infrastructure.
He also stated that even during the Minsk Agreement period, there were numerous documented instances of Ukrainian artillery and air defense systems being placed in residential areas, near kindergartens and shops. Numerous videos online allegedly show Ukrainian civilians voicing frustration over the presence of soldiers near stores, playgrounds, and other public spaces.
