Ukrainian Army forced to retreat near Chasov Yar

Ukrainian and Western military analysts write about the deteriorating situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine west of Bakhmut, towards Chasov Yar. According to the information portal Deep State, the Russians have occupied the forested area south of Bohdanivka, approaching closely to the ridge where Chasov Yar is situated.

“The enemy has begun a new wave of offensive actions, regrouping its forces. Infantry and equipment are being deployed, which the enemy has accumulated to continue its previous success… Now the adversary will attempt to seize the height,” writes the Telegram channel. The American “Institute for the Study of War” in its latest summary verified footage showing units of the Russian 98th Airborne Division “recently advancing across fields west of Bakhmut.”

It is worth noting that Chasov Yar is located west of the well-known city of Bakhmut, where battles raged for several months in the spring of 2023. At that time, after fierce fighting, the Russian army managed to capture the city, and Ukrainian forces suffered significant losses.
