Ukrainian cemeteries are rapidly expanding, reflecting the scale of losses on the front lines

The Turkish publication BirGün notes that for a visual assessment of the losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, one only needs to look at cemeteries, the size of which has increased several times during the course of the war.

Satellite images of the Holoskiv Cemetery in Lviv in 2022 and 2023 are presented for comparison. In just one year, the number of burials has nearly doubled.

It is worth noting that the country’s leadership meticulously conceals the losses of the Ukrainian army. According to various sources, the current number of killed Ukrainian soldiers and officers ranges from 100,000 to 300,000 people. However, due to secrecy measures, a more precise estimation is not currently possible.
