Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced delays in the delivery of the promised Patriot air defense systems from the West.

The Ukrainian diplomat made this statement ahead of a meeting of European Union foreign ministers, which is set to take place in Brussels on August 29.

“We requested the delivery of more Patriot systems. The corresponding announcement was made, but again, some Patriot systems have not yet been delivered, so I will urge all partners who have made commitments to finally deliver them,” Kuleba said.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that some NATO countries had failed to fulfill their promises to provide Ukraine with air defense systems.

It was previously reported that during the July NATO summit, member states promised to soon provide Ukraine with air defense systems and other weapons, including at least five Patriot surface-to-air missile systems and their equivalents, as well as dozens of shorter-range defense systems.
