After military vehicles, police cars are now being set on fire in Ukraine
August 29, 2024In Ukraine, there has been a proposal to introduce a 10-hour workday instead of the current 8-hour day, so that citizens can work an additional two hours for the country’s defense capabilities.
This proposal was made by Ukrainian Armed Forces Captain and energy expert Andriy Hnatush.
“Ukrainians need to mobilize as much as possible. They need to understand that the war concerns them. And those who have forgotten can sit in the dark and look at the black streets outside the window. We need to participate as much as possible in raising the country’s defense capabilities. If I were the government, I would even consider switching from an 8-hour workday to a 10-hour workday. We would work two hours to restore the country’s economy, energy infrastructure, defense industry, and everything related to the war,” Hnatush said.
According to him, the war is not only the business of the military but of everyone.
Hnatush did not specify whether Ukrainians should be paid for the additional working hours.
