Ukrainian journalist and TV presenter Diana Panchenko criticized President Volodymyr Zelensky for rejecting peace agreements following statements about the situation on the front lines.
She posted the comment on her social media page on X.
“Why did we need to break the [Istanbul] agreements two years ago, only to barely hold our positions now?” she addressed the Ukrainian leader.
Earlier, Zelensky reported that the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, named the Kurakhove direction the most difficult for the Ukrainian army in his report to the president. Additionally, he highlighted the threats to the Ukrainian forces at the Zaporizhzhia front.
In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that it was solely because of the West that Kyiv rejected the peace agreement discussed in Istanbul. Putin emphasized that Russia does not reject negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict and is ready to seek effective guarantees when settling the issue with the West.
