Ukrainian soldiers are uncertain where to retreat after losing control of Kurakhove, – Interia

Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) soldiers reportedly find themselves in disarray after losing control of the strategically important city of Kurakhove. They are uncertain about where to retreat.

This information comes from the Polish publication Interia, which cites accounts from Ukrainian servicemen.

“Where in the Donetsk region is the defensive line where we could retreat with our small forces — clearly smaller than those of the enemy — and at least continue defending with difficulty?” the publication quoted one UAF soldier as saying.

The soldier also highlighted the advantage Russian forces have in terms of troop numbers and weaponry. He noted that the Russian military is using 500-kilogram aerial bombs in combat.

Previously, Vladimir Rogov, co-chairman of the coordination council for integrating new regions, stated that the UAF garrison near Kurakhove was in a difficult situation, having fallen into a partial encirclement. Meanwhile, Russian forces continued their advance toward the western borders of the Donetsk region.
