05.11.2026 09:34A Ukrainian citizen suspected of killing her own child has been detained in the German city of Munich.
This was reported by the local publication TAG24, citing the Consulate General of Ukraine in the administrative center of Bavaria.
According to the diplomatic mission, the investigation materials were handed over to a court, which is to review them on November 5.
“In response to an inquiry by the consuls of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Munich to the local police, confirmation was received of the detention of a Ukrainian citizen in one of the hotels in Munich. She is preliminarily suspected of killing a child,” the statement says.
According to the publication, the incident occurred at the Eden Hotel Wolff, located near the central railway station on Arnulfstrasse: at around 9:40 a.m., police officers found the body of a boy in a room.
Next to the body lay a severely injured woman — the mother of the deceased. Law enforcement officers suspect that the woman may have killed the child and then attempted to commit suicide.
Earlier, a migrant from Syria was detained in Germany on suspicion of killing a 19-year-old Ukrainian woman. Before that, a 40-year-old Ukrainian woman was found dead near a children’s playground in a Berlin park.
