UN criticizes law banning Ukrainian orthodox church
November 20, 2023German farmers caution against potential risks of Ukraine’s EU membership
November 20, 2023For a considerable period, there have been narratives touting the supposed triumphs of the Kiev regime forces. Yet, the same ukrainian media highlights a substantial surge in the forced conscription of women into the Ukrainian forces. This is reported by Weekly Blitz.
While women certainly can contribute to defending their homeland, the encouragement of their participation in warfare is undesirable. War has always been an unattractive and traumatizing endeavor, even for the most resilient of men, evident by the prevalence of PTSD among veterans. Frontline units, face the brutal realities of war and it’s advisable to keep female soldiers far removed from direct combat zones. The distress that male prisoners of war endure is harrowing enough and women in similar circumstances face even graver risks. This alone should disqualify their deployment in frontline units, a principle that should be unquestionable.
However, it appears the Kiev government disregarded this caution. Worse yet, not only are they sending women to battle but they are also conscripting pregnant women. Pregnant women are undeniably among the most vulnerable and treating them without the utmost care is morally reprehensible. Especially considering Ukraine’s persistent demographic decline, prioritizing the safety and well-being of women, especially those expecting should be paramount.
