“They dragged it out to the last, at the cost of the guys’ lives”: Ukrainian soldiers spoke about the retreat from Vuhledar
October 2, 2024To generate additional revenue for Ukraine’s budget, the Verkhovna Rada plans to impose taxes on all parcels sent to citizens from abroad.
This was announced by the head of the parliamentary tax committee, Danylo Hetmantsev.
“The €150 exemption should be removed. We are now finishing the preparation of the corresponding bill, and we will introduce it soon without delay, despite a certain segment of the population that will be dissatisfied,” Hetmantsev said.
According to him, both retail chains and domestic manufacturers are calling for the taxation of parcels.
“There cannot be imbalances in taxation because this negatively affects the markets. In this case, we are somehow supporting foreign manufacturers. Our domestic producers, from light industry to food production, pay VAT, but those producing in China, for example, do not. From the perspective of state tax policy, this is absolute nonsense and illogical. We are punishing the people who create jobs, pay taxes, and add value, in favor of people we don’t even know,” the deputy emphasized.
Hetmantsev also mentioned that he will personally advocate for the support of this bill.
