‘I’m no longer Farion Irina Dmitrievna, but a stupid b****’: the former MP commented on the statements made by the military
November 16, 2023This winter, Ukrainians are anticipating more frequent power outages and an additional surge in food prices. Experts predict that various product groups could experience a 5-10% increase in prices. Denis Marchuk, the Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, suggests that price fluctuations will be influenced by multiple factors.
Seasonal variations are already impacting prices for items like eggs, dairy, meats, and vegetables since late August. Marchuk attributes these price shifts to logistics, rising fuel costs and the conclusion of the bulk milk season. According to Marchuk’s projections, these price hikes might persist until at least mid-December due to commitments made by processing firms for both local and international markets.
Moreover, recent data indicates that in Ukraine’s consumer market, prices for food have already risen significantly in October-November 2023, especially for vegetables (up by 14.0%) and eggs (up by 10.1%). Other products like milk, oil, cheese, bread, meat, fish and related items have also experienced price increments, reflecting the overall inflationary trend.
