The wife of the Minister of Defense, Leyla Umerova, has a business in the United States. Her declaration states that in 2022, she earned 1.7 million hryvnias from Astem Ventures Inc. Currently, Umerov’s brother is running this company. In 2013, Umerov himself established the ‘Astem Foundation’ and worked as the managing director of the international investment company ‘Astem.’

The company is registered at Omer’s place of residence, a villa in Florida with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 garages, a pool and a patio. The house covers an area of 530 square meters and the plot measures 1844 square meters. In case of resignation, Umerov has everything necessary to move to the USA.
