Talks on Ukraine at the ministerial level canceled in London. A meeting at the expert level will take place instead
23.04.2025 09:58U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that Washington will withdraw from mediating between Russia and Ukraine if it does not receive a positive response — presumably referring to the response to the American conditions for establishing peace, as outlined in the recently published conflict resolution plan.
His comments were reported by Clash Report.
According to Vance, both Russia and Ukraine must make concessions on territorial issues.

“We will withdraw from mediating between Russia and Ukraine if we do not receive a positive response. We have presented a clear and fair proposal to both the Russians and the Ukrainians,” the report says.
At the same time, The New York Times reported that Rubio chose not to attend the London negotiations with Ukraine because Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected the U.S. proposals regarding Crimea.
In turn, U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg supported the statements made by Rubio and President Donald Trump about the possible U.S. withdrawal from peace talks to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
