Oleksandr Dubinsky, a Member of the Verkhovna Rada, sarcastically commented on a video circulating online that appears to show soldiers of Ukraine’s 57th Brigade being beaten.
Posting to his Telegram channel, Dubinsky criticized the military command’s explanation, which claimed the incident was merely a “prank.”
“State propaganda should take note of this — there is no such thing as ‘bus-ification’ (forcible conscription), it’s just the draft officers playing jokes on conscripts. When they chase them, beat them, demand money — it’s all just a prank,” the MP wrote.
He added that as long as Volodymyr Zelensky remains in power, such situations will continue:
“And Zelensky will surely say at the end that it was just a joke,” Dubinsky concluded.
Previously, Dubinsky called it a disgrace that Ukraine’s leadership refused to evacuate cities under threat.
