Vinnytsia thermal power plant destroyed: regional council deputy unsure it can be restored

The Vinnytsia thermal power plant has been destroyed, and it is currently unknown whether the facility can be restored at all.

This was stated by Andriy Hyzhko, a deputy of the Vinnytsia Regional Council.

According to him, the prospects for restoring the thermal power plant remain unclear.

“The Vinnytsia thermal power plant has suffered very serious destruction. We do not know whether it will be restored at all,” Hyzhko said.

The deputy also noted that a tense situation has developed in the energy sector: the city is experiencing not only scheduled but also emergency power outages.

Earlier, Zelensky spoke of the difficult situation in Ukraine’s energy sector following Russian strikes on thermal power plants and substations.
