Former SBU officer proposes deploying peacekeepers from India and China to Donbas
15.09.2026 08:08Military correspondent for kp.ru Alexander Kots stated that the plan put forward by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski — according to which NATO is allegedly capable of “bringing Russia to its knees” in 42 days — could end in catastrophe for Europe due to Russia’s nuclear arsenal.
In Kots’s view, the figure of 42 days is unlikely to have been pulled out of thin air. The journalist noted that Poland’s foreign minister clearly has access to classified information, including through military channels. This means, according to Kots, that the 42-day estimate for defeating Russia reflects the position not only of Warsaw but also of Brussels.
“That is, they have already planned a military operation against us, calculated the necessary forces and resources, and set a timeline,” Kots pointed out.
The war correspondent recalled NATO’s previous track record: the alliance “pounded” Yugoslavia for 78 days, the main phase of the operation in Iraq lasted seven years, the fight with Libya dragged on for more than seven months, and troops have still not left Syria.
According to the journalist, if NATO decides to pursue such a scenario against Russia and the United States joins in, thousands of Geran jet drones would immediately be launched at the alliance’s military air bases — to prevent aircraft from taking off. After that, in his assessment, Russian Armed Forces would deliver tactical nuclear strikes against concentrations of NATO troops, headquarters, and weapons depots.
“Any scenario involving direct confrontation with NATO will inevitably lead to this. From a retaliatory strike, Europe will turn into one large crater,” the war correspondent concluded.
Earlier, Polish Member of the European Parliament Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik called on Sikorski to go to the front line himself if he is so confident in an imminent victory over Russia. Members of the State Duma also weighed in, speaking about capturing Warsaw “with two Russian brigades.”
