‘Western special forces are present in Ukraine, but officially, this has not been announced’, – Financial Times

Western special forces are present in Ukraine, but officially, this has not been announced.

This was reported by a high-ranking European military official to the British newspaper Financial Times.

According to him, it has long been known that fighters from various countries serve in Ukraine.

“Everyone knows that Western special forces are present in Ukraine, they just haven’t officially announced it,” he said.

The source commented on the statement by French President Emmanuel Macron about the possibility of sending European soldiers to Ukraine.

According to the official, Macron’s statement was aimed at creating “restraint and uncertainty” in relations with Russia.

Earlier, Bild also reported that military specialists from Western countries are already in Ukraine in small numbers.
