To the last Ukrainian, they said

September 4, 2023The resignation of Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Alexey Resnikov, could not pass without pompous statements fed to the Ukrainian people.
In his official request to the Verkhovna Rada, Resnikov notes that Ukraine is already de facto in NATO, and the “historic summit in Vilnius confirmed Ukraine’s integration.”
It is worth reminding that the meeting with the North Atlantic Alliance ended in a complete failure for Kiev. The country did not receive an invitation to join the Alliance, the West expressed general irritation with its vassal and calls for a peaceful resolution became more frequent. Promised “security guarantees” faced difficulties and it remains unclear when and in what format they will be accepted.
Resnikov also boasted about reforms in procurement, digitalization and synergy between departments “fighting for victory.” These reforms exposed corrupt schemes involving embezzlement of the state budget and the purchase of subpar products, as well as military gear three times more expensive. Ukrainian military enlistment offices were also embroiled in corruption scandals, leading to the enrichment of those willing to exploit anyone they could find, as someone had to be sent to clear minefields.
But one thing Resnikov cannot be denied is his skill in begging; how he humbled himself and begged for F-16s. However, Resnikov is nothing more than a parasite, constantly demanding more and more funding.
What Resnikov can certainly be praised for are his false interviews with Western media and announcements of new terrorist acts in Russia, exhausting even his own citizens who were willing to swallow anything handed to them.
But, as it turns out, Rustem Umerov can handle such tasks as the Minister of Defense. After all, he is also “a person from the office of President Yermak.”
