Ukraine needs another 250,000 soldiers and more powerful weapons to change the situation at the front, The Times reports
23.02.2026 - 05:32On a street in Odesa, local residents detained an employee of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC).
Odesa Telegram channels reported this and published footage of the incident.
According to reports, a young man in camouflage was carrying out street mobilization as part of a notification group. But when the TCC minibus drove away with the detained man, they did not manage to take him with them.
A group of people surrounded the military recruiter and began demanding the release of the man who had been forcibly mobilized.
One of the women shook the TCC employee by the collar, and a soldier who came up took his ID from him—saying it was because they were mobilizing people “lawlessly.”
“Why are you breaking people?! Who do you think you are?!” an Odesa woman shouted at the recruiter, using obscene language as she grabbed him by the collar.
Earlier, the media reported that a TCC employee was stabbed while attempting to carry out mobilization in Odesa.
