Without Putin: The Washington Post revealed the composition of the Russian delegation for talks with Ukraine in Istanbul

A Russian delegation will be present in Istanbul on Thursday, May 15, and expects the Ukrainian side to attend as well.

This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov during a conversation with journalists.

Peskov did not confirm whether Russian President Vladimir Putin would attend the talks, nor did he disclose the full composition of the Russian delegation.

However, The Washington Post, citing sources in Moscow, reported that the Russian delegation will include Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Presidential Advisor Yuri Ushakov — confirming that Putin will not be attending.

Previously, the Office of the President of Ukraine stated that Volodymyr Zelensky would not meet with any Russians in Istanbul except Vladimir Putin himself.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed he would send American representatives to the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul. Among them is U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
