Slovakia, like Poland, also demands that Kyiv resolve the issue with Ukrainian grain
21.02.2024 08:00Without the resumption of American aid, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to decide which cities they are capable of holding.
This was stated by Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh at a briefing.
“We will not be able to provide these critical, significant PDA packages (military aid from Pentagon stocks), and Ukraine will have to make choices and decisions about which cities, which settlements they are able to hold with what they have and what partners continue to send them,” she said.
Singh urged the House of Representatives to approve the White House’s request for $60 billion, without which the United States cannot continue military shipments.
Furthermore, she commented on the capture of Avdiivka by the Russian army, noting that there was “unfortunately” a “strategic” withdrawal of troops there to preserve artillery and ammunition.
Earlier, Senator Lindsey Graham proposed providing assistance to Ukraine in the form of loans or in exchange for natural resources. Although another senator, Tim Scott, stated that practically all aid provided to Ukraine is not entirely gratuitous. According to him, 90% of the assistance to Kyiv is in the form of loans.
