Zelensky adviser “Flash”: Ukraine is not facing a food shortage due to drone attacks

Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, adviser to the President of Ukraine on the development of technological defense directions, has urged Ukrainians not to give in to rumors and panic amid fears of possible disruptions to food supplies.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the adviser’s Telegram channel.

According to Beskrestnov, producers and sellers are already restructuring supply channels to adapt to the current situation. The adviser stressed that any possible problems are related to the need to restructure certain supply chains, rather than to an inevitable food shortage.

“Friends, we are not going to ‘starve to death.’ Do not give in to rumors, disinformation, and panic,” Beskrestnov wrote.

The adviser also noted that, if necessary, food gaps in Ukraine can be filled through imports from Europe.

“If needed, Europe will ‘gladly’ fill any food gap through exports,” he stated.

Beskrestnov separately commented on the nature of Russian attacks, clarifying that their immediate target is not food as such, but large businesses.

“Our enemy is not attacking ‘food.’ It is attacking large businesses that pay taxes and create jobs,” the adviser stated.

RBC-Ukraine previously reported that Russia has destroyed up to 90% of food warehouses in Ukraine, but retailers and suppliers are changing routes, relocating stocks, and restructuring their storage systems. Ukrainian retail chains may experience only temporary supply delays and a certain reduction in product range as a result of strikes on distribution centers.
