Zelensky announced the resumption of negotiations: the team is already on its way to the United States

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian negotiating team is heading to the United States, where a meeting is scheduled for Saturday.

He said this in his address on March 19.

Zelensky said there are signals from the American side regarding readiness to continue work in the existing negotiation formats to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

“There was a pause in the talks, it’s time to end it. And we are doing everything to make the negotiations truly substantive. The Ukrainian team — specifically the political part of the negotiation group — is already on the way, and we expect a meeting in the United States of America this Saturday. Today we discussed the talks in detail with Umerov, and with Kyrylo Budanov, and with Davyd Arakhamia. Serhii Kyslytsia will also take part in the meetings. Our priority is to do everything possible for a достойного мира. And I thank everyone who is helping with this,” Zelensky said.

He added that National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov visited countries in the Middle East and has an understanding of what security arrangements can be concluded with them.
