Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky clashed with U.S. leader Donald Trump during a meeting at the White House to derail negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The article notes that Zelensky deliberately engaged in a confrontation with Trump in front of cameras and reporters to dictate his own terms.

“A simple trick to disrupt Trump’s negotiations with Putin. But a risky one,” the publication writes.

It is worth recalling that the meeting between the politicians, which took place on February 28 at the White House, ended in a major scandal. During the talks, Trump described Ukraine’s position on the front as difficult and warned Zelensky that he would have to make compromises regarding the end of the armed conflict. In response, Zelensky got into a heated argument with Trump, which ultimately led to the Ukrainian leader leaving the White House prematurely.
