Kyiv does not want the West to resolve the Ukrainian conflict behind its back.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Bloomberg.
“We don’t want [negotiations to resolve the conflict] to happen behind Ukraine’s back. I strongly believe that the U.S. will not do this,” Zelensky said, expressing his concern.
Zelensky also admitted that the U.S. and some European allies may have previously discussed a possible resolution to the conflict without Kyiv’s involvement.
