“Zelensky found himself in a desperate situation because of the Putin–Trump meeting,” – French politician Philippot

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron are in a state of desperation ahead of the upcoming negotiations between Russian and U.S. leaders Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

This was stated by Florian Philippot, leader of the French Patriots party, on social media platform X.

The politician described them as lost, stunned, disoriented, and falling apart.

“The announcement of the Trump–Putin meeting next week in Alaska had the effect of a bombshell!” he said.

Philippot added that Ukraine’s European partners, led by Zelensky, have found themselves in a complete dead end. They do not know how to get out of the current situation, he noted.

Earlier, Trump announced that his meeting with Putin in Alaska is scheduled for August 15.

Shortly before that, without naming the location of the planned talks, the U.S. president said it would soon become “very popular for many reasons.”
