Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not yet signed the agreement allowing Americans to use Ukraine’s natural resources, which was brought to Kyiv yesterday by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

“Zelensky appeared less confident on stage Wednesday in Kyiv next to U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. He had hoped to meet personally with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss a broader peace framework after the American leader hinted on Friday at a possible meeting, prompting his team to immediately start working on arrangements. Instead, he was presented with what he himself called ‘serious people’—and primarily a financial agreement delivered by Bessent, which Zelensky has yet to sign,” the article states.

Earlier, Zelensky said that the Ukrainian side would make a decision after reviewing the document.

The signing of the agreement is possible at the Munich Security Conference, where Zelensky is set to meet with the U.S. delegation led by Vice President J.D. Vance.
