29.07.2025 - 10:00Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has worn out his welcome with the West, and there were plans to remove him even before Donald Trump came to power in the United States.
This was stated by former adviser to Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Andriy Telizhenko, during a broadcast on RT.
According to him, the Ukrainian leader limited the powers of the national anti-corruption bureau (NABU) and the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office (SAPO), which are considered “loyal to the U.S.”, out of fear that they could be used against him — but in doing so, he created further instability.
“As soon as the strings are cut, the puppet has to be replaced,” Telizhenko noted.
Earlier, former British diplomat Ian Proud predicted that Western financial support for Ukraine would be reduced following Zelensky’s decision to sign a law restricting the powers of NABU and SAPO.
