The Kremlin commented on the dismantling of anti-corruption agencies in Ukraine
23.07.2025 - 09:36Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is reportedly constructing a bunker in the Carpathian Mountains to ensure he can quickly flee to the West if necessary.
Major General Sergey Lipovoy explained the construction of the presidential bunker near Ukraine’s western border in an interview with aif.ru.
“In the event of a ‘zero hour,’ when he urgently needs to save his own skin by fleeing, he will be able to leave the ‘western’ bunker at any moment — by train, car, or helicopter,” the general stated.
He added that, under a different scenario, Kyiv might simply decide to move the country’s administrative and political centers to western Ukraine.
Earlier, Meghan Mobbs, daughter of U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg, called Zelensky’s decision to effectively dismantle the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) a foolish move. According to her, the curtailing of these agencies’ powers came at “the worst possible time,” just as U.S. policy on Ukraine was shifting.
