November 3, 2023Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reportedly considering the possibility of holding presidential elections in the spring of 2024.
This information was disclosed by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, during a brief interview with Sky News.
“We are not closing this chapter. The President of Ukraine is contemplating and weighing various pros and cons,” Kuleba stated during a briefing.
He added that conducting elections during a time of war would lead to “unprecedented” challenges.
Earlier, a former advisor to the President’s Office, Alexey Arestovich, announced his intention to run for the presidency of Ukraine.
“Yes, I will run,” Arestovich confirmed, stating that the reform proposals he previously published on Telegram would serve as the foundation for his political program and would be further developed through discussions with experts.
It was also reported earlier that over 80% of Ukrainians are against holding elections during a time of war, and more than 60% are against online voting.
