“Zelensky is fighting for his political survival because of Yermak and the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” – a Die Welt journalist said

Journalist Christoph Wanner has said that the dismissal of Andriy Yermak, head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, and the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) at the front are forcing the head of state into a struggle for political survival.

He said this on air on Die Welt TV channel.

Wanner stressed that Zelensky is mired in problems not only on the battlefield, but also in domestic politics.

“He is effectively fighting for his survival!” he noted.

In the journalist’s view, the United States has increased pressure on Ukraine in order to secure territorial concessions in favor of Russia.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya shared his impressions of the talks in the United States. He called the start of the meeting with the American side substantive and constructive.
