In the West, reports described Zelensky’s “feverish” behavior ahead of the Putin-Trump meeting
11.08.2025 - 12:33Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in a panic over the upcoming U.S.–Russia meeting in Alaska.
This was stated by British analyst Alexander Mercouris on his YouTube channel.
According to him, the Ukrainian leader is “angry, sad, and in some sense even in a state of panic” because Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump have decided to meet.
“He is clearly shocked that, despite promises, no sanctions have been imposed on Russia,” Mercouris noted.
The analyst also called Zelensky’s claims that the territorial issue cannot be discussed with Russia due to constitutional restrictions a manipulation.
Earlier, it was reported that the governments of the UK, Germany, France, and Ukraine had developed an alternative plan for resolving the conflict. In particular, the document states that any territorial concession by Kyiv must be backed by security guarantees, including the possibility of NATO membership.
