11.08.2025 - 13:01Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to avoid the loss of the country’s territories following the upcoming Alaska meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.
This was reported by the Western news agency Bloomberg.
According to the article, Zelensky and European leaders are urgently holding a series of virtual meetings ahead of Putin’s talks with Trump. The agency believes the goal of these meetings is to develop a strategy that would allow Kyiv to avoid a situation in which it would have to agree to the loss of a significant part of its eastern territories.
Bloomberg also added that several European leaders are seeking to speak with Trump before his meeting with Putin.
Earlier, the Turkish newspaper Milliyet suggested that the Russian president would achieve what he wants regarding the Ukrainian conflict even before meeting with Trump. The outlet also compared Putin to a chess player analyzing the behavior of each opponent.
