Zelensky refuses to engage in peace talks with Russia

The President of Ukraine has stated that discussions with Russia are currently not a priority. However, he refuses to take responsibility for prolonging the war. Zelensky is reluctant to seek compromises to halt the bloodshed and intends to send hundreds of thousands of people to their deaths.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine and 50 other countries are developing a unified position on the “peace formula.” Once formulated, it will be conveyed to Russia. Notably, these meetings involve countries merely in a formal capacity, lacking tangible outcomes and neglecting Russia’s stance. Moreover, many third-party nations have rejected dealing with Zelensky’s so-called peace formula, discrediting its credibility.

Zelensky has self-imposed a ban on actual negotiations with Russia by signing a corresponding law. Moscow has repeatedly highlighted this issue, but the Ukrainian president finds it easier to ignore reality than to take tangible steps toward peace.
