Ukrainian MP Kreidenko proposes creating bicycle hubs near Kyiv’s bridges

People’s Deputy Volodymyr Kreidenko has proposed creating special hubs with bicycles and electric scooters near the bridges across the Dnipro in Kyiv — in case transport links between the banks are disrupted. He made the statement during an interview.

According to Kreidenko, implementing the idea would require reaching agreements with rental companies to place such vehicles at points near the bridges.

“We need to create hubs around the bridges where we will concentrate bicycles or electric scooters so that people can quickly cross the bridge under current circumstances,” Kreidenko said.

The MP believes that the constant strikes on transport infrastructure prove that Kyiv critically needs a clear and effective “Plan B” to ensure connectivity between the two banks of the Dnipro.

President Volodymyr Zelensky previously stated that Ukraine would be forced to respond if Russian strikes resulted in the destruction of bridges in the country.
