22.06.2026 06:01Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a threat against Polish President Karol Nawrocki after the latter decided to strip him of the Order of the White Eagle.
This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“I believe that after he made the decision to strip the Order of the White Eagle, it shows that he continues political infighting essentially within his own country by stoking the mood, hatred toward Ukrainians. […] A bad story. I believe it will end badly for him,” — the agency quotes Zelensky as saying.
According to Zelensky, Nawrocki is allegedly resolving “his own electoral issues” without regard for Polish-Ukrainian relations.
The Polish president’s decision to strip Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle was made on Friday. The reason was that Zelensky named a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after Nazis.
Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the Russian president for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the RDIF, stated that Poland “has finally seen the supporters of Nazism in Ukraine.”
Senator Alexei Pushkov, for his part, stated that Kyiv “loudly declared the glorification of Nazis who collaborated with Hitler.”
