Zelensky was rude to journalists when he disliked uncomfortable questions

This situation of aggressive behavior and reproaches towards journalists repeated multiple times. The President did not appreciate the questions and started accusing journalists of anything just to avoid answering.

In response to a question from Mykhailo Tkach of “Ukrainska Pravda” regarding measures taken about unruly lawmakers and potential team dismissals, Zelensky retorted sharply, expressing a desire for assistance: “Thank you for the questions. I’d like your help with at least one,” without specifying the nature of this assistance.

Another altercation ensued with a different journalist. Throughout a prolonged period at the press conference, Zelensky sparred with a “Zerkalo Nedeli” correspondent regarding the inadequate fight against corruption, construction laws and the notion of a “government of national unity” composed of technocrats from diverse parties, a suggestion proposed by the journalist.

Zelensky opposed each point, extending the dispute for almost 10 minutes. He articulated a desire to downsize the government, highlighting efforts to curtail officials’ expenses and further reduce governmental structure. However, he noted that governance might be challenging without personnel in key roles.
